The name "DenSu" is derived from the first letters of two people's names, Dennis and Suleeporn Caplinger, who are the Founders and Directors of DenSu Ministries, Inc.
Dennis had been doing evangelistic work in hard to reach nations for 10 years with ACI International, Inc., when he met Suleeporn in Bangkok, Thailand on August 5, 1989.
He gave her a gospel tract in the Thai language and shared God's plan of salvation with Suleeporn, and that night she prayed to receive Christ as her Lord and Savior.
After a few days, Dennis went to Vietnam to help provide Bibles to the underground Church there, and when he returned he asked Suleeporn to marry him. She said yes and they were engaged to be married on August 20, 1989.
Dennis was 40 years old, and Suleeporn was 29, both having been single until November 18, 1989, when they were married in Palm Springs, California. Dennis gave Suleeporn the nickname "Susy", by which she is known today.
On January 1, 1990, DenSu Ministries, Inc. was formed in Akron, Ohio to help finish the task of World Evangelization by reaching the unreached with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
On August 30, 1990, Dennis and Susy were blessed with a son, David Thomas Caplinger, and now the three of them continue to serve Christ, along with the other partners of DenSu Ministries.
God has blessed the work of DenSu Ministries with much fruit in Thailand through the distribution of Susy's testimony to millions of lost souls. There are now over 750,000 copies of the book "True Happiness Can Be Yours" in 26 languages around the world.
